Inauguration of the European Week of Sport
More than 3500 people visited the #BeActive Sports Town!
The 2017 European Week of Sport in Poland was inaugurated on September 23rd in Park Agrykola in Warsaw. The most popular attraction turned out to be the #BeActive Mini Marathon for very young runners. Children were invited to participate in a 100 m race (Tot Race for children under 3) and in a 1 500 m race (Teen Race for children under 16). Each participant received a commemorative medal.
Visitors in #BeActive Sports Town were also able to take part in the #BeActive Combined Fitness Event, comprising 11 sports disciplines practised by the Ambassadors of the European Week of Sport. The participants had to demonstrate their skills in all 11 disciplines to be awarded diplomas and trophies.
#BeActive Mini Tournaments were organized for family teams. Parents and children took part in a number of games and competitions, including mini-golf, boules and mega-skiing.
The event’s youngest participants were able to spend time in the #BeActive Kid Zone – a playground with lots of attractions such as inflatable slides and soap bubbles.
The # BeActive Sports Town was organized at the request of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism by the “Maraton Warszawski” Foundation.
