The second edition of the Sport Management Academy has been launched

The second edition of the Sport Management Academy has been launched

 

The project aims to support Polish sports associations in increasing their qualifications in the fields of organization, management and marketing

On Wednesday, 20 February 2019 at the PGE Narodowy National Stadium the first training within the second edition of the Sport Management Academy was held. The seminar concerned transparency and integrity in sport. The event was attended by representatives of over 50 Polish sports associations of Olympic and non-Olympic sports. Experts from Poland and abroad shared their knowledge and experience with Polish sport managers. The training was opened by the Sport Management Academy project manager Grzegorz Botwina.

The speakers included

  • Dr Stefan Walzel, Secretary General, European Association for Sport Management (EASM)

Transparency and integrity in sports federations, with particular emphasis on good governance

  • Michał Rynkowski, Director, Polish Antidoping Agency (POLADA)

Combating doping in sport

  • Jakub Fornalik, lawyer

Legal aspects of integrity in sport, with specific focus on combating match-fixing.

The next training will be held on 27 March 2019 at PGE Narodowy. It will focus on social responsibility of sport, sports projects financing from EU funds, and the international context of sport.

The Sport Management Academy operates within the structure of the Institute of Sport - National Research Institute. It aims to comprehensively develop qualifications in the field of organization, management and marketing in Polish sports associations and, consequently, to contribute to the professionalization of Polish sport.
